Collaboration with 15 Whatcom County Breweries

Two years ago, the Whatcom County beer community came together to create "Beer of Choice," a collaboration supporting reproductive healthcare. This collaboration was born from a great sense of community support that we all felt was needed in the wake of the SCOTUS Roe v. Wade reversal.

This year marks the two-year anniversary, and we are bringing back this campaign to show our continued support for reproductive health.

With two beers and 15 local breweries participating, this beer will benefit The Brigid Alliance. The Brigid Alliance is a referral-based service that provides travel, food, lodging, child care, and other logistical support for people seeking abortions.

This year, our Beer of Choice brew is a Gose. It’s brewed with a 50/50 blend of Pilsner and Wheat malts, creating a sturdy malt profile while still providing a delicately soft mouthfeel. The traditional use of coriander and sea salt balances with the lightly tart acidity to create a beer with flavors of stone fruit, citrus, and a subtle salinity.
